Why Democrats Win Humboldt Elections by 25%

The short answer is Democrats care about governing and the Humboldt electorate appreciates this (imho).  During debates Democrats talk about the stuff we need to talk about to decide how best to govern while given the same format, Republicans talk mostly about how to protect what they have and from whom.

You can see this in a brilliant graphic today headlining the NYT website.  Below is a snippet of this graph, please visit the site to see the whole thing.  What the NYT has done is categorized topics in a word then counted how often that topic was discussed in both Democratic and Republican debates.  Then they listed these top down from most discussed (Islamic State) to least discussed (hand size).  Then the topic was arranged from left to right  with the topics most discussed by Democrats on the left (of course) and visa versa.

Lots of words, just skip all of them and get to the graph here or the snippet below.  You’ll get it and it’s absolutely fascinating.

More on the graphic above later, but just for fun, take a look at the following KKKK (Knights of the…) priorities from this well-researched reaction to Jeffrey Lord’s contention that the KKK is a leftist organization and see how these overlap. (I’ve removed the top two (anti-Semitism and racial segregation) b/c I don’t think either of these are part of the GOP agenda, at least not when using mouth words and it could be argued just as easily by those like Jeffrey Lord that either one is a part of the Democratic or Leftist agenda.)

— The quashing of civil rights for minorities

— The destruction of federal government power

— Anti-homosexual

— Anti-abortion

— Anti-immigration.

HOJ disagrees that “the debates” define years of political ideology in Humboldt, but does agree that Humboldt lacks jobs, well paying jobs from industry activities, so ya, on that point, what is there to protect if one is conservative and lack of job results from governance that liberals are claimed in this graph as being better at?

Obviously, lack of jobs is not due to conservative blockades because less and less (for local conservatives) exist to protect unless it is land/marijuana or land uses in general.

Alas though, liberals in Humboldt act on the same protections, but the modal interaction is predicated on sweeping under the rug those environmental impacts that liberal governance has turned a blind eye toward because of land use as it equates to money – fees, surcharges, etc…. MARIJUANA LAWSUIT!

For liberal governance purposes, it is no surprise public employees and supes like Mark Lovelace are playing charades with regard to land use enforcement’s, environmental law enforcement’s, etc….and still, libtards and repubes/moderates vote into office these stooges, snakes and snookerers at the local level who talk the talk, but dont walk the walk.

HOJ says only Roger Rodoni talked and walked. All other Humboldt County elected officials since the 1980’s have been wannabe institutional supportive propagating con artists with a hidden agenda for themselves and campaign contributors, not the real people who daily bust their asses in this messed up county.
